Three Dogs Chasing Snowflakes Outside

Do You Have a Cold-Loving or Sun-Worshipper Dog?

As the chill of November sets in, our dogs, just like us, show their true colours when it comes to the changing seasons. Some are happiest stretched out in a sunny spot, while others bound with excitement into frosty mornings.

The Sun-Worshippers

These dogs can always be found chasing the warmest patch of light on the carpet or curling up by the radiator. Breeds with fine coats or smaller frames often prefer the cosy life indoors, wrapped in blankets and soaking up every ray of sunshine they can find. If your dog falls into this camp, make sure they’ve got a snug bed, a warm coat for chilly walks and plenty of chances to curl up where it’s toasty.

The Cold-Loving

Then there are the dogs who thrive in the cold. Think double-coated breeds, snow-loving adventurers or just those with endless enthusiasm for the great outdoors. These pups relish crisp morning air, muddy fields and maybe even a sprinkling of frost. For them, winter walks are the highlight of the year. Just be mindful because cold ground, salt and ice can be tough on paws, so keep them protected and checked after adventures.

Embracing Both Sides

Whether your dog is a sun worshipper or prefers the cold-weather, what matters most is keeping them comfortable, safe and happy as the seasons shift.

And November is the perfect excuse to embrace the best of both worlds: invigorating walks in the crisp air, followed by cosy snuggles at home.
